The External Advisory Committee’s (EAC) prime responsibility is to monitor the scientific and programmatic progress of the Arkansas INBRE. The Committee offers advice and guidance on scientific matters to the PI, PC and Steering Committee. The EAC reviews and approves all research proposals recommended for funding before final programmatic review by the National Institute of General Medical Sciences.
The Steering Committee (SC) includes the key personnel and the chief officers at the Partner Institutions. They act as an advisory team to the PI and the Core component directors on planning and implementing the programs of the Arkansas INBRE. Additionally, the SC assists in establishing policy for the INBRE. The SC’s oversight functions extend to all Core Directors and faculty investigators. Core Directors report to the SC semiannually on ongoing activities, and the SC reviews the progress of the INBRE activities annually.
